Independent IFMGA / UIAGM
Mountain Guides & Agents

We welcome Mountain Guides holding the UIAGM/IFMGA qualification to contact us for an offer for fullboard accommodation at the lodge.
We recommend other guides to also book a local guide from Northern Alpine Guides to help ensure your group the best local knowledge.
Every day all Mountain Guides at the Lodge participate at the guides meeting making full snow and avalanche observation reports as well as sharing relevant information regarding safety and conditions. Each afternoon they also fill the mountain tour log detailing the day conditions which will be logged to assist in avalanche forecasting for the region.

Snowboard Touring in Lofoten

The Lofoten Islands is also of course ideal for snowboarding as we literally start gaining altitude right as we leave the car. The majority of descents takes you from summit 2 sea. There are very few traverses or flat valley push-outs. You can enjoy the essence boarding on the long seemingly endless lines down to the beach.
We recommend split snow boards for all riders and that snowboarders like the skiers should be technically competent to ride in all types of snow conditions. In general split boards are the safest and most reliable way to board in Lofoten.
