There are essentially 3 options to travel efficiently to the Lofoten Ski Lodge. All transportation to our area comes into the town Svolvær
which is 13 km from the our lodge. Below we have all the links you need to travel here when in Norway.
International Travel: For all three options you will first book your airfare to Oslo (OSL)
Option 2: Fly directly Oslo (OSL) to Svolvaer (SJV). All these flights go through Bodø. This is the smoothest and nicest way to travel to Lofoten if you’re willing to spend a little extra money.
Flight carriers: Widerøe and SAS.
Option 3: Fly from Oslo (OSL) to Bodø (BOD). Approx. 1,5 hours flight. From Bodø to Svolvær you can choose between the public ferry «Hurtigbåten»
or you can take the coastal steamer «Hurtigruten».
Hurtigbåten leaves regularly at 5pm and the Hurtigruten leaves at 3pm.
(double check the schedule for your day of departure)
Flight carriers: Norwegian and SAS
*** If you’re traveling domestically in Norway you can find cheap flights from many airports across the country to link up with any of the traveling options listed above.
Local transportation is not included in the price for private trips. Each group will need to have sufficient rental car space for their group members and their equipment. Having your own vehicle ensures flexibility and opens up tons of great side trips within a short distance from the Lodge. We are in the middle of all the great skiing – so driving farther than 30 minutes is rare.
Lofoten Ski Lodge has a great partnership with Hertz Rental Car located at the Svolvaer and Evenes-Harstad Airports. Hertz can offer you great vehicles at a heavily discounted price. Upon confirmation of your booking, please contact Daniel Petterson directly at: firstname.lastname@example.org or +47 97 47 90 00.
We provide transportation for our fixed date “Open Group” trips. Please contact us for further details.
